OSC Laurentian Rutabaga Seeds Heirloom Vegetable. Non-sized seed for economical pricing. This is the ever popular rutabaga of holiday feasts. Some communities in Canada refer to this rutabaga as “turnip.” The exposed top of the root takes on a distinctive purple hue. The flesh varies from cream coloured to a warm golden yellow.

How to Grow:

540 seed/gram Culture is similar to other members of the Brassica family. Sow seed in early spring 12 mm (1/2?) deep in rows spaced 60-90 cm (24-36?) apart. Thin seedlings to 20 cm (8?) apart when they reach 7.5 cm (3?) in height. Harvest in fall after they have been exposed to frost.
